UrgoTul®

UrgoTul® is a flexible wound contact layer dressing designed and developed by Laboratoires URGO. UrgoTul®  is made of a polyester textile mesh coated with the TLC technology (Technology Lipido-Colloid). The TLC technology is composed of petroleum jelly, liquid paraffin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and polymers. Each UrgoTul® dressing has two protective films on both sides and is packages in an individual pouch that maintains its sterile condition.

FEATURES AND CLINICAL BENEFITS

Treatment with UrgoTul® promotes the healing of skin wounds.

In contact with wound exudate (fluid in the wound), the TLC technology of UrgoTul® gelifies, which helps to maintain a moist environment necessary for wound healing.

UrgoTul®:

  • is flexible and conformable.
  • easily matches the wound surface reliefs.
  • is suitable to also cover the skin surrounding the wound even when this skin is weakened.
  • allows exudate (fluid appearing at the wound) to pass through and to be absorbed by the absorbent dressing that covers UrgoTul.
  • is atraumatic and reduces pain at removal.

INDICATIONS

  • UrgoTul® is intended to promote wound healing of skin wounds in a moist environment thanks to the following properties: covering and protecting the wounds, maintaining a moist environment.
  • UrgoTul® is indicated for covering and treating skin wounds.
  • UrgoTul® is also suitable for application to wounds with difficult skin localisation (for example, in the area of toes, the fingers or over a bony prominence), or to hollow, cavity or deep wounds.
  • UrgoTul® must be covered with an absorbent dressing suitable for the level of exudate (that is, to the amount of fluid appearing at the wound), and, when this absorbent dressing is not adhesive, also secured with a dressing securement system (for example, medical tape, bandage, tubular mesh, or adhesive dressing).
